Two firsts for Anna

Anna has fed herself her first meal using a "poon"!!! On a sadder note, she is also fighting her first ear infection :(

For a while now, Anna has been practicing using a spoon, but this week she has mastered it!  She can dip the spoon into a bowl of rice or beans and then successfully feed herself!! Here are some pictures.  She was fighting an ear infection ( her first one) in these pics (and still is), so she may not seem too perky. 

Also, she had a blister on her lip (we think from stress), a scratch under her eye (not sure about that?) and her typical scratch on her nose where she rubs when she sucks her thumb.  It looks like she got in a serious fight!!

Making mean faces at camera, she really looks beat up in the above picture!!

There is a smile!!

 

 

Seriously, she picked up this skill just in time for baby brother to come! Meal times will be a bit easier now, although I don't think we will let her do soup or yogurt just yet.
