Christmas Day- we have matching boots :)
So, Anna has really changed since the last post. I'll do my best to record those here!
Well, by Christmas, Anna had her two front teeth! Shortly after, she got 4 molars. She now has 8 teeth, which makes meal times much easier for everyone.
Fun with Da Da.
Anna has also added some volume to her voice. She is loud and much more vocal about everything! She is a little chatterbox from the time she wakes up (we hear saying mommy, mommy, daddy, daddy around 6:30am each day) until she goes to bed. She has started saying small sentences like "more carrots" and "more elmo". Her favorite word these days? No. It drives me crazy, but we are working on "no thank-you" and "yes" to counter so much of the N-word.
Playing outside the new house.
She transitioned well to the new house and as of last week, is sleeping in a twin size bed! It has rails on both sides, but she can get in and out of it. She is napping well in the bed now, althought it took a few days for her to get used to it. We are still working on her staying in the bed during naptime!
Drinking "Muh" (Milk) with Gi-Gi. She came down and helped us move!
We are definitely in the thick of discipline right now! She is testing, testing, testing us. I am having to be more consistent and intentional with everything I say! If I tell her no, and she doesn't obey, then there must be a consequence. I know if we keep up the consistency, it will pay off, but man is it tough! The good thing is, it keeps me asking the Lord for help everyday, multiple times a day, because it is hard to patient with a little one testing you all day (especially being pregnant, tired, and uncomfortable!).
Chillin with Grandpa! My parents came to help us with the new house!
There are good days, of course, without as much of the testing, and we are really enjoying how easy it is to take Anna out and about without making her over-tired. She has LOVED helping with all the house projects. She often grabs a towel and starts "cleaning" floors, walls, and tables. While Josh was assembling the beds, Anna sat right with him, mimicking his every move. She totally wants to do whatever we do! This is both good and bad- we are really having to be careful about what we say, because she will repeat it!
Anna's new vehicle, which she LOVES.
That's our sweet girl at 20 months. Still a good eater, still taller than average for her age, still a blessing to us!
Thanks for reading! Love ya'll!
