We are 75% or 3/4 of the way through our first year with Anna. We are getting so close to her one year birthday!! She turned 8 months on Friday.
Anna has REALLY been changing lately. Here's what has been going on:
She now STANDS up in her bed. She is pretty proud of herself. She can also stand up in her pack-n-play and using the couch.
She is making more efforts to crawl, but not officially crawling. She goes backwards a lot.
She is taking 2 naps these days. After 3 pm, the girl will not take a nap. Bedtime at 7 or 7:30 usually.
She is pointing at things now. I think its because I always point at things for her to see.
Her tongue stays in her her mouth much more now. Sometimes she puckers her lips, which is soooo cute!
She likes sweet potatoes now! We got a rice cooker/steamer, and she really likes the consistency of steamed foods.
She really loves taking baths and splashing around!!
She weighs 20 lbs 12 oz (found out at her allergy testing appointment :) ). She is 27 inches long.
Also, we went to have Anna tested for allergies on Tuesday. I've suspected a milk allergy for a while. She had testing done, and it looks like she may be allergic to egg and peanuts. Her skin reacted pretty severely to those two. Now, we will get a blood test to confirm. There is 50% chance that she may not be allergic, and the blood test will help us know. The doctor thought she probably has a milk intolerance, which is like lactose intolerance in adults. Soooo, I'm glad she isn't allergic to milk, but eggs and peanuts?? Those seem to be in everything...I will update after the blood work results come back.
It has been amazing watching her grow! And God is also growing me... in patience and reliance on Him.
Thanks for reading!
P.S. She usually wears clothes, but I couldn't resist taking these pictures before her bath the other night. She's so cute with just her diaper!!
